New USC Study Shows Housework Raises Cortisol Levels of Women

According to a new study released by USC, housework stresses women out. This may be obvious, but the same study also found that while they may be stressed, their husbands are having the time of their lives. Men had the lowest levels of the stress hormone cortisol, precisely when their wives were working up a sweat around the house - even lower than when they were relaxing with their wives. To explain to us what this research means for marriages everywhere is Darby Saxbe. She's a postdoctoral fellow in psychology at USC.
